Jane has been Headteacher of Glory Farm Primary School since March 2019 having worked at the school since January 2012, both as a class teacher and also as Deputy Headteacher and, for a short while, Acting Headteacher.
Since joining the Senior Leadership Team at Glory Farm Primary School, Jane has been involved in leading many new initiatives. These include: developing the Curriculum we offer to ensure that it is broad and balanced and provides challenge for all; being successful in achieving the Gold Quality Artsmark; improving links with the local community alongside developing both parental engagement and community links; and reopening our Nursery provision for 3 year olds from September 2019.
Jane was a valuable part of the senior leadership team in ensuring that, in the last Ofsted inspection in June 2017, the school was judged as being “Good” in all areas and has been heavily involved in continuing this improvement over the last two years. She is a firm believer in empowering colleagues to try out new and exciting ideas to provide the children with the best opportunities.
Working alongside other primary schools is also very important to Jane and Glory Farm is currently partnered with other schools in Bicester, as well as schools in and around Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. Using these networks ensures that Jane is always striving to learn alongside colleagues and use these relationships to improve the provision for our children.
Jane has a very clear vision for Glory Farm Primary School and is keen that all stakeholders have a share in this. Working together will ensure that we continue to be a highly successful primary school working within a supportive Trust and all the benefits this brings. The children of Glory Farm leave at the end of Year 6 prepared for their continued journey in secondary education.
